Running the mile for time

Running the mile for time is really just a terrible experience. I went to do it this morning and the cold wind was blowing really hard. Just look at Roger Bannister above and you can see that he is having no fun. I'm aiming to go under 7 minutes at the Olympics. We'll see.

  1. Ran 1600M in 8:24. I was trying to break 8. I think if the wind hadn't been so severe I might have done it. But maybe not.

  2. 1600M in 7:38. You were right about that wind...I was praying for death somewhere around lap #2.

  3. Sweet you ran it. I'm gonna try and test my 100 meter time here pretty soon. Of course with just a wrist watch and hitting the start and stop myself, it won't be super accurate but close enough. I think it would be sweet to break 12 seconds. That is my goal at the olympics. Might be a little too optimistic but well see.

  4. I think I'll need someone to chase me with a chainsaw to get any decent speed out of me in that short of a race...
