Heavy Day

Today I did my heavy squats. They weren't fun. I think learning and using the right form has gotten me stronger in squats. I use my hamstrings and butt a lot more whereas I used to be very quad dominant. I feel stronger.

  2. 150 Burpees in 11:59. One of these days, I'll have to see how much I can squat!! I have no idea.

  3. I haven't tested my bench or squat yet either Wit. If we were to have the Olympics today, these are my predictions based on my perception of our current levels of fitness:
    Bench-Lee, Wit, John
    Squat-Wit, Lee, John
    Pullups-Wit, John, Lee
    Sprint-John, Wit, Lee * this one will most likely be very close
    Mile-John, Wit, Lee

  4. Whit, 150 burpees in under twelve is completely sick. Unbelievable...I dare anyone to try to get 100 in under that time....

  6. Seriously, I haven't done a benchpress or a squat in years. Tell me guys, what are you goals for those events? I have no idea what's a good amount for either.

  7. When I set up my goals I viewed it as a percent of my body weight, so since I was shooting for 160 lbs body weight by the Olympics, I wanted to bench 240 (150% of body weight) and squat 320 (200% of body weight. I think I will get there on the squat and come short on the bench.
